Covered Bowls

While watching a Turkish TV series about the daily life of the sultans during Ottoman times, I noticed that most of the food in Topkapi Palace was served in wonderful covered dishes.

It gave me the idea to do a modern version of the Ottoman covered dish.

And before long... I was adding doves, cats, turtles, and lady bugs to them. My husband even convinced me to create one in the shape of a Thanksgiving turkey!
